This has been such an awesome opportunity! I had so much fun at the Minneapolis WordCamp and really want to do another speaking event. I suprised myself by actually having all my bags packed and ready to go the day before I was supposed to leave. I’m sure that surprised all my friends and family because they know how much I love to procrastinate. Sarah, my little girly-girl, kind of rubbed off on me though – I had packed 5 bags for a 3 day trip LOL. Oh well it was worth it.
I got to Mayslacks in Minneapolis at about 5:30 pm for the speakers dinner and I was so nervous – I was early so there wasn’t too many people there but that changed pretty quickly. The dinner and all drinks were paid for so I definitely enjoyed a few cranberry and malibus – (probably a few too many! LOL). Once I had a few of them in me it was alot easier to network and I really had a good time. Good thing I had a designated driver (and walker LOL) ’cause there was no way I was leaving there on my own.
Saturday morning came way too early and I couldn’t believe there was over 300 people attending and I had my presentation at 10 am. I was pretty nervous but once I got up and started speaking everything went just fine. After my presentation all that I had left to do was to enjoy the rest of the weekend. What an awesome time it was – I really love WordCamp! Oh and I also got asked to submit an application to speak at WordCamp Chicago!! Yay
