The dishwasher is running, washing machine is washing a load of clothes, the dryer is drying a load, the roaster is slowly cooking a pork shoulder to be turned into pulled pork sandwiches, both cat litter boxes are doing their self-cleaning, and their water fountain is bubbling with fresh water. Everything is just sort of humming along today.
It’s not really been much of an adventurous week at all. Mine and Isaac’s vehicles are still broke; Isaac’s is waiting for parts to arrive so it can be fixed. My old Ford is waiting for me to determine its fate.
I finished up the website I was working on for my newest client and all my other client’s seem to have settled into the start of Spring. It’s been a busy month of April getting updates done, making changes, and planning new digital marketing goals for a few clients. But for the weekend everything has slowed down. I finally had some time to get the house cleaned up and boy did it really need it.
Mom and Dad came over last Sunday and Sarah came home so we had everyone here for a family Sunday dinner. I have to admit, I’d really love it if we could do that every Sunday – I enjoy having everyone together, even if it is just for one meal. Darrell stayed home sick one day last week – his tonsils were really swollen. He started using DoTerra’s OnGuard blend with a couple drops of Oregano in gel caps and the next day he was feeling better enough to go back to work.
Updating Social Web Dzine
I’ve been working a lot on making changes to Social Web Dzine – I’m stuck half way between changing the name or keeping it and not really sure which direction I’m going to take.
I finally have the color palette figured out and have been updating the colors along with the new fonts into a new development website. This past week, I joined week long designers summit for helping designers simplify and streamline their work processes. I learned a lot of new information and found an awesome branding consultant who I’d like to work with to create my new logo, and other visual materials for my new brand. I just can’t afford it right now but one of the bonuses was a 30 minute strategy call with her. I’m looking forward to talking to her and discovering what I can do on my own until I’m able to work with her.
My microphone and webcam have arrived, are all hooked up, and are ready for me to start using for podcasting and video marketing. I’m looking forward to implementing this next phase of my marketing plan but it’s another task on my to do list so I have to work harder to maximize my time and get better at being less distracted to get more accomplished
Well, it’s time to check on the pork roast and see how that’s coming along. Here’s some pictures from the week:
