Darrell and Isaac have joined Isaac’s Uncle James’s Civil War ReEnactment group and have gone to several reenactments over the summer. Most of these take place in IL somewhere near Chicago. This weekend they were in Edgar WI so we go to go see them! There was a big Thresheree going on along with all the other fun stuff.
Sarah’s move-in day at school happened this weekend but absolutely not at all like I had it planned for the last how many years of her life. I thought for sure I’d be there to help her move in, share a tearful good-by, and then snuggle in the arms of someone who I care about as they comfort me about me girl going to school. NOT! She volunteered for a shift at her second job this weekend – she though that the shift was for next weekend but it wasn’t. She wanted me to help her move-in later on Sunday but I’d made plans with Chris to go with him to his daughter’s and help watch his grandkids for a few hours while his daughter voluntered at a fundraiser. So I had to miss out on move-in day. That was a hug bummer.
I enjoyed meeting Chris’s daugheter, her fiance’ and his grandkids. Those little girls all are so cute and adorable – I would really love to get to know them better. They all seem so sweet. We spent alot of time on the bike this weekend and it was absolutely exhausting – but so much fun. Chris still talks alot about his ex Pat. It’s really beginning to bug me – I’m not sure at what point he’ll stop talking about her but hopefully soon! I’m not sure if he’s just so excited to share stuff with me about his life or what but it doesn’t seem like he’s too interested in listening to me share stuff about me. I know I keep saying this but I guess we’ll just have to see how things go. There’s just a few things that we have to move past before I’ll feel comfortable that this dating thing is going well.
